Need some help on my kitchen doors
Comments (12)Hi mairead thank you, we still love them, they have such a warm and welcoming feel to them. They are hardwood (mahogany I think) timber made bespoke by a joiner who has a workshop (large shed!) out in the countryside! I think you have to go with your heart on this one and pick what you like. Although the house is only 14 years old it does seem to have a more traditional cottage look to it. The timber French doors go well with the shaker kitchen too. I'm just not a fan of bifolds unless they are on very contemporary glass extensions....See MoreNeed help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See MoreHelp... need colour in my new kitchen!
Comments (19)I love that your husband fitted your kitchen! It looks great. Completely understand not wanting to lose the bright and vibrant Fuchsia, it seems like your home is rather vibrant and fun. My recommendation would be to have one feature wall in the Fuchsia (I would advise the one behind the armchair) as this would keep the fun whilst picking up the accents of your table runner and kitchen accessories. I would then paint the walls by the window a grey to complement the colour used in the kitchen. To compliment your curtains (instead of having to buy new ones) once you have toned down the walls, I would consider adding a throw pillow in a plain lime colour on the armchair to pick up the colour of the curtain. It is a very personal choice, but that would be my recommendation :) I hope it helps!...See MoreNeed paint colour advise pls
Comments (9)Duck Green is very dark, so I’m not sure. It’s the sort of colour you would have to create a cosy bedroom or living room. Your kitchen looks quite dark, so may it make the room even darker? Of course it’s your home so if you love it, try it. However, I think a lovely olive green shade or pale sage green would look rather nice....See Morehoussaon
