need help of a marble shelf with LED lights

My client wants a marble shelf 40mm thick x 2M long with a mitred front edge with Led lights strip behind the front edge, but how could this be supported?

Do you mean how can the shelf be supported or how can the led strip be supported ( I suspect you mean the shelf..)

Sounds like it would need to be built into the wall structure so that it projects no more than could be supported by the weight within the wall construction . A smart cookie with a calculator is needed !!!

Hi shahina, Thank you so much for the compliment! Cappucino and Emperador marbles are simply different colors--just like Carrara and Emperador Dark are different colors. Different lots of each stone look different, which could explain why the Cappucino and Emperador Light slabs that you saw look similar. Every now and then, some colors will look very close to one another--it just tends to happen because of the natural variation. No, I do not think that Emperador Dark would be too dark for your bathroom, as long as you keep the other tile and paint colors on the lighter side. I have attached photos of Emperador Dark marble bathrooms for you to see. It is a very beautiful and sophisticated stone. The colour temperature of the LEDs suit the finishes of the first kitchen, but the second kitchen , with wooden effects, needs a much warmer LED. A fine line when working in kitchens as the cooler the LED, the better the preparation light. Tough one!

I see you have some nice trophies on the top shelf which are no doubt very special to you and your family. why not try to make them the main feature within the central space of your unit. clear any unneccessary bits which aren't essential and maybe, just maybe think about adding an LED light behind the trophies to enhance the trophies. you can can cheap ones on line in lots of cool colours as well. and finally a few family photo frames to display will always go down nicely.

Hello We have worked with Kitchen companies who have done the same thing. They routed a grove and we put a channel using a special glue then we used a frosted diffuser to obtain a continuous light source. I hope you find this information useful, and good luck.
