What's your favourite design brand?
Comments (8)I've got a few black lacquer oriental pieces of furniture from 4living, their service is fantastic. They lent me a dining table for a couple of months until my one was in stock! Also like rockett St George and alexander and pearl. Would loved to have used de gournay or fromental wallpaper but out of my price bracket unfortunately.I do have a couple of rooms done in gp& j baker chinoiserie wallpaper instead though which I love but I'm sure wouldn't be to everyone's taste! I also like occa home and Oka direct, oka have the most fantastic garden table which alas is too big for my garden so I've sent a pic to my brother for his new house! Sorry that was too many!...See MoreWhat's the most British thing about your home?
Comments (67)To add to my earlier comment, I think my individualism epitomises the very essence of being a true Brit. I'm not a slave to trends, just go with my heart and hope my design ideas will come together in some sort of coherent way. There's pride in that in spades, and we're a proud nation, aren't we?!...See MoreHow to make the most of your utility room or laundry room.
Comments (2)Can anybody advise/offer comments on the below: We are looking to add a utility room to our ground floor (soon to be extended) off the main hallway. What dimensions are ideal for a utility room with a washer and dryer, sink and some storage cabinets? The utility room would also be the place that I would store all my cleaning items (liquids, mop, bucket etc) and the household hoover too. Any ideas for wall/shelf storage for these items? Thanks....See MoreWhat matters most when choosing a kitchen designer?
Comments (5)I do feel that sometimes, that a lot of "designers" attached to/associated with retailers don't necessarily listen and understand the needs or wants of the buyer, but are more about just fitting their product in the space - often irrespective if it's the best use of that space or the most pragmatic solution. I often think that if more people were to be brave enough to grasp the nettle and design their own kitchens (apologies to OnePlan!), those poor designers may up their game....See Moreembzop
