paint colour to match Osborne & Little feature wall

I'm going for the O&L Manzoni W 6030-01 wallpaper and am torn between a light or dark grey, I'm steering more to the F&B Pavillion Grey. My bedhead is upholsterdd French Grey. Ideas wecome......

Hi Dana and Dan,

It's very tricky without being in the room to judge the correct colours. I would say that French Grey has a definite green shading, if the wallpaper is to go on the wall behind your bed head, if its possible, I'd suggest trying colour way no. 02 of the O&L wallpaper. If the wallpaper is definitely going to be colour way 01, I'd suggest a shade like Cornforth White as a light grey option, this will give the feature wallpaper more of an impact as there will be greater contrast than if you chose a dark grey. As always getting samples and trying them in the room first is vital to ensure you select the right shades for you!

Hi. I agree with PB. The headboard as I'm imagining the colour to be (!) may work better with the 02 or even the 04 ( on screen). What colour are the curtains and which way does the room face or is light restricted as some greys may not work as well depending on light

Since discovering Valspar I wouldn't use anything else. It's great if you have a young family or painting and area of increased traffic such as a hallway. I've lost count how many marks I've scrubbed off with ease and without removing the paint in the process. Love your choice of paper too.

I presume this is the wallpaper your talking about.

When I have had a wallpapered feature wall in my designs I normally match the grey to the base colour of the wallpaper so there is a flow from the paper to the adjoining walls. If these don't go then the whole thing can jar. Look through your paint colour cards and place a sample of the wallpaper next to the grays, once you have narrowed down a selection I suggest getting sample pots and painting large samples on lining paper. That way you you can really get a good idea of the colour and how it looks in the light of your bedroom. By having it on lining paper it doesn't making a mess of your walls with a patchwork of samples. Hopefully a match should come out from there. Look at Little Greene Paint Company and F&B both go well with a lot of O&L colours. Best of Luck!

If you go for 01, Little Green Welcome Dark may go, their colours come in pale and dark

I hope you don't mind but I've just used Little Greene Deep so I thought a pic may be useful to you. I've not seen that paper in the flesh but my room is north facing and the colour does change from wall to wall and at different times of day etc. some areas look slightly lilac others look more grey... I'm trying to decide on a wallpaper to compliment it at the moment and have another thread on here :/
The colour brochure and even the board in my local merchant look way different to how it looks in my room so I would recommend getting a sample if you decide to try it :)
