Hi Yvonne. That sounds a little dear to me. As a guide I've had bathrooms/en suites fitted for £1500-2000 (including tiling and the guy is really good). My mum is currently doing the same as you removing a partition ŵall between kitchen/diner and removing patio doors and an internal door. Kitchen is being fitted, electrics, moving some pipes and a reskim of 1/2 rooms and then 4 small rooms decorated for £8,500 and the guy is a member of FMB. Flooring is separate to that. I don't know how much it is to extend the pipes for the shower room as that can be dear nor the cost of your fittings though but it seems a little steep, I'm based in essex btw but 40 miles from London so I would probably add on 15% for London?? I must admit I actually found my mums quote dear! Do you have a plan of your house and then people may be able to make suggestions for all off the ground floor space?

Hi Juliana I have just seen this post, unsure if you have solved this enquiry or not yet, but we can supply frameless glass shower screens to bristol, bath and surrounding areas. We are unsure as to where you are based. You said above you dont want any hinges etc but to fix this glass you would need to allow for a channel for the glass to sit inside of otherwise there is no way of fixing the glass in place, usually the channel is fitted on top of the bathroom tiles so there is no chance of water egress between the channel and tiles. Ah, thanks Beano. That snowman is cute, he just doesn't appear very "you" but I have gold sparkly reindeer in my downstairs loo at Xmas which my mum gave me which I would wouldn't say were me but I clearly like them 😂 (Not that I mean that in a bad way to sparkly reindeer btw!) 😂 I need to lose things too, whenever my husband does any form of housework, he either finds strange things and puts them on display or rearranges stuff (last night I discovered, admittedly very cute, wooden dog Xmas "tags" hanging from my kitchen cupboards?!) I swear he does it just to wind me up!

Thanks all this is very reassuring! Here is a pic of the layout. The wall between the bedroom and the en-suite is going to be stud while The opposite wall with sink against it is a solid outer wall (but we’ve an extension the other side of it now) so that was making me think if I put the shower head on that wall then I’d need to have it built out a bit to accommodate piping Or chased in (?) - so perhaps the more logical option is to have the shower head on the bedroom wall side where it’s stud or from the Far end wall and then Pop a niche in the stud? Wet room would be the dream Sarah but I think too costly for us so hoping we can get a slimline tray not on risers ideally, or if it has to be raised, to make a feature of it by tiling or making a wee flat bit before tray starts.
