What colour paint in bedroom.

I'm happy with my teal colour scheme but feel the magnolia walls are very boring. What colour would you suggest. I know white would look nice but I want something a little different. Was thinking a soft grey ?

Soft pink, light dusky rose and then soften the strong bold colour with a few powder pink cps after cushions

My spare bedroom is yellow and teal. It is a farrow and ball yellow but I can't remember the name of it, but it is quite subtle and looks absolutely gorgeous with the teal. The walls are painted yellow but the curtains, accessories and bedding is all teal, and white woodwork. If you don't like yellow then I think grey is fantastic idea. Farrow and Ball do French grey and it is gorgeous with teal. Also, my sister has a room which is really pale green and teal and it is lovely (pale green walls and all accessories and curtains shades of teal).

Hi don't have a picture but the colour is a blue/grey green. Room gets plenty of sunshine. Have a king size bed but no headboard. House was built in 1922 no cornices or ceiling rose. It's quite spacious but has the double window set in to slightly sloping eaves. So can't have too much curtains. Did buy red and gold bedding which looked oriental but don't like them going to take back. Have a few other bits and pieces that are oriental. Budget probably around £2,000 but am flexible. Will try and get some photos. Thanks for coming back to me. We have been living overseas in rented apartments and now feel I have lost my confidence. Have the whole house to do but waiting on Architect drawing up plans for a large extension and thought I could at least tackle the spare room as it won't be affected by building work.

Hello Nicola E, How you treat the paint work entirely depends on what you want to stand out.. The fireplace or the wardrobes.. This too depends on what else is happening in the room... If just a bed then it's entirely possible to create a feature of said wardrobes by painting them a bolder colour or the chimney breast a darker colour.. Look at the room and consider what you'd like to have as a focal point and how big the room is.. Shades of cream and off whites are far nicer than white.. So if you decide to include a white scheme, definitely look at shades of off white and creams.. Little Greene has a lovely range of chalky colours.. such as Whitening, White Lead, Stock etc.. These can be chosen for wood and walls.... They give a warm, chalky and sophisticated look which can blend beautifully with colours such as Celestial blue or James just to talk of blue and these are warm not cold blues .. I also like Juniper Ash which is a slightly mauve colour but look for warm versions of a colour you like.. So if the fireplace is to stand out and the wardrobes are a pale creamy colour the accent and focus is the fireplace which will benefit if the room is smaller than you'd like.. If you have a large bed then this might be the best way to consider it. If the room is large and you want something to create a statement then consider the fireplace and wardrobes.. A shade or two darker for wardrobes than chimney breast will create a frame surrounding both the fireplace and for the bed if this is facing on the opposite wall.. Blend the bedding and cushions, should you choose them into the scheme to create a cohesive and stylish finish. Lastly if you want a pale room with painted wardrobes these will form a statement and frame if you have less in the room... : )) Blended.... Contrast... This one isn't a bedroom but you get the idea..

yes. Asian Paints Royal shyne luxury emulsion. Plz help me what to do now. Painter said repainting with other colour will be more dirty. Fyi other colours from the same brand is ok. Only facing problem with this colour only. See below others are ok.

Love navy feature walls. I have Little Greene Woad in my kitchen. I think the pink will go nicely with it, but I agree with Minnie to use a pale grey for the rest of the walls. Dulux Polished Pebble is lovely and quite pale. Or how about a more dirty pink - something like F&B Setting Plaster or Dulux Blush Pink. Polished Pebble Little Greene Woad

Hi there, I think your choice of a soft grey would work wonderfully with the teal, and is a great soothing colour to have in a bedroom. Farrow & Ball have some wonderful greys - head for something like Purbeck Stone, Pavilion Gray or Lamp Room Gray.
