POLL: Fairy-lights: Magical or Muggles?
Comments (11)Magical! If done right, they're great (even if not 'done right' I'm a big fan): But whether or not you think they belong inside, you just can't go wrong with them outdoors......See MorePOLL: Do you have a home bar?
Comments (53)Drinks trolleys are having a resurgence, and our clients are loving them. No longer stuck in the seventies or providing props for 'Acorn Antiques'. Our modern drinks trolley 'Juniper' is a British designer super-functional drinks station where everything is you need is at your fingertips. It is bang up to date and includes a built-in mini fridge, storage drawers and bottle shelves. Perfect. We love it! https://www.juliettesinteriors.co.uk/product/the-most-perfect-modern-gin-trolley/...See MorePOLL: Interior windows - hit or miss?
Comments (38)Hmmm, not necessarily my cup of tea but has its merits in places so long as it doesn't make the room feel like a fish bowl. One thing I don't like though is if it allows you to see mess in another part of the house (my main bugbear about open plan...I don't wish to sit in my living room with the oven on and pots in the sink of an evening). They do give me terrible memories of internal glass doors in the 80s and stories of children going headfirst through them though....See MorePOLL: Where do you keep your bin?
Comments (23)We have a small bin under the sink for non recycling things, black plastic, the pods from my coffee machine, dirty kitchen roll etc., which before 5p a bag started, used to be lined with a shopping bag, now I save the planet by buying a roll of bin bags! We also have a small food compost bin next to it, which I buy special bags for from amazon. Then, in the garage, which is next to the utility room we have the paper, tin, glass, plastic recycling boxes, the big food bin with the strong lid and the larger general waste bin which is collected every fortnight. I hate seeing bins outside houses and think that the new bin system which requires such a collection of bins has meant some terraced houses in our area have gone down in value, the residents are not always tidy and the council should provide better ways of collecting and dealing with rubbish when people find it hard to store it out of sight. Seeing bins around is one of my big pet hates!...See MoreMaking Spaces
