Need help with choosing colours for my kitchen walls
Comments (4)I have been advised to paint the colour of the walls the same as the white cabinets to avoid highlighting how off white my cabinets are. However won't this make the kitchen look bland. Can you advise what colour I could use as a feature wall to add contrast /tonal. Also which wall(s) would you chose as a feature wall....See MoreNeed help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See Moreneed help with kitchen /dining room
Comments (4)I'd choose the fascias of the units in grey. It's a neutral colour that'll blend with your chairs. It looks like you have an oak shade of furniture so this is a possibility for the worktops and flooring....See MoreNeed help choosing new wall colour for sitting room.
Comments (53)Well the walls have been repainted at last. And the winner was....................... F&B Cromarty! Second was Mizzle, but it looked a little too dark in my north facing room, but it was a close contender. Thank you all for your brilliant advice. We both love the colour, and you can see how different it is in various areas. E D - the sofas are now away from the walls and the castors are sitting on brass cups (the plastic ones shattered) and it has worked, they don’t move!...See MoreNajeebah
