Struggling to choose a grey for the bedroom
Comments (32)Sounds fab! Look forward to seeing the end result! Just realised I still haven't posted any photos...oops lol. We're actually in the process of buying a new home and we're already dead set on doing grey in the bedroom again so I'll certainly be checking out some of these other shade recommendations before jumping straight back in to bed with Warm Pewter (even though I love it). I like to scope out my options as much as possible...probably why I take 10x longer making a decision!...See MoreStruggle to decide...
Comments (9)I think you need a builder or engineer to confirm if the wall where you have placed the fridge is indeed structural. Given where it is in the building I think it is unlikely it is structural- I suspect it is a brick build partition and because if feels solid you have assumed it has to stay. If it can come out or at least be reduced in size I would have a layout as below which gives you space now but can easily be partitioned into a 3 bed later....See MoreFunny bedroom alcove!
Comments (6)Fitted wardrobes are always a good option for optimal storage, however, it is difficult to see from your photos how much space you have for these with the bed in situ. If access to the wardrobes is an option, you could have drawers in the lower part and hinged doors in the top. A good joiner will be able to create a wardrobe around the sloping roof. Failing this, I think you need to get a wider freestanding wardrobe as this one is lost in the space. Or you could balance it out by putting a freestanding vintage clothes mannequin to the side to show case a nice outfit or your jewellery and scarfs. The other option is to have a chair next to the wardrobe to fill and balance the space. Hope that helps :-)...See MoreChimney Stack in Primary Bedroom
Comments (13)I can’t really see how curtains would work with the roof line unless you just had curtains on the chimney breast which may look a bit odd next to windows (but may be my lack of imagination 😂) iPersonally I’d extend across to the windows as said before and add some art (ignore what I added as got fed up of looking for something non-offensive!). I’d pull the bedsides away from the bed for some breathing space. Wall lights could work really well or taller lamps. I’d also paint the dressing area in the wall colour. I painted it in a similar’ish colour and as you can see the shadows there deepen the back wall colour so still make it look quite funky. It can be difficult with furniture size/height when you move! You could consider painting the bookcase in the wall colour so it blends in a little more. I’m loathe to say paint the wood pieces (or go for a deeper wall colour) so I suppose it depends on budget. It feels a little crowded where the floor lamp and chest are but the other chest is fine. A little bedroom chair in the corner where the dressing table is could look lovely too...See Morealant1000
