Please please can anyone help me by design my kitchen and living room

Use bi fold doors
Create space
Rearange sink and units
Perhaps use less units

Living room
Install shutters
Buy new furniture 4 seater sofa
Create space all major work has been done
So just need advice on interior decor

HI -- I like the red wall but I think the whole room in that would be too much. So right now you need to cut down the contrast of the red wall . Paint a light cream tan on the other walls and also on the ceiling but leave the crown the same color. This will tone down the red and accent the crown molding. You could also use a blueish grey in the same way. Or you could also use a grey with a hint of lavender . Get some color sample cards or pots (benjamin moore paints). Get an idea of the color before you paint the whole area.

I moved the doorway to my bathroom and it was worth every penny if it means you can get a better arrangement, but exploring all the options first is best to avoid the hassle. Personally i would put the TV in the corner labelled 'wasted space', put the sofa where the bookcase is, put the armchairs in much the same place but perhaps more in a straight line with the fireplace and the coffee table in the middle. It looks like all your furniture hugs the walls, but it will make the room seem a lot less long and narrow if the flow was broken up a bit in the middle. Then I would move the book case over where the TV is, add a snuggler in the bay window and perhaps a sideboard (or guitars) to the right on the wall across from where the TV currently is. It would almost be like splitting the room in to two different spaces for two different purposes. The guitars and books near the window for light and relaxation and the furniture in a social setting without being center around the tv entirely but in a good view as well. My room is equally as awkward and I am still trying to figure it out so best of luck to you!

Hi Claire, Do the doors actually open inwards into the room? How about considering place the bed in the center of the room facing the doors? You would disguise the back of the bed with a thin console table which have some dressing style storage (jewelry etc) and can hold some tall flowers and candles to set the mood on entering. There's lots of ways you can add the luxury feel you are looking but this would create real impact and make the bed the real feature of the space. If budget allows I would hang lights from the ceiling ad beside lights and layer up on dressing for an even more luxurious feel. I have attached one of my clients bedroom design (single room re-design package) to show you the hanging lighting idea - if this isn't possible then a well placed small chandelier style light would have a great effect on the space. Hi we have oyster split face tiles in our downstairs loo on one wall. We chose to go plain on the others as it’s such a feature. Here’s a pic - i’m sharing less due to colour but because if you zoom in, you can see the finish on our tiles is really quite different. I didn’t think they needed grouting as they are meant to stick out at irregular angles, but we don’t have gaps like yours so maybe they do. I do know our builder said they were a total nightmare to put up!
