NEED HELP ON MATCHING BEDROOM FEATURE WALL WITH PAINT
Comments (13)How is the light in this room? This weekend there has been a post here to vote on your favorite black room and there have been some stunners! I voted for the foyer, but you should search in the box above for black bedroom and for metallic wallpaper ceiling.. Also search for metallic paint, metallic wallpaper. I think the paper is dramatic and would be beautiful with black walls, bronze metallic ceiling and you didn't mention the floor, so I won't go there. Really, try the black!...See MoreNewbie- need help with lounge feature wall pls!
Comments (3)Re the paint colour I wouldn't recommend white it will be very stark, you need something warmer with possibly a taupe or heather tone, this will work well with your scheme. Re the spot lights, you can go for energy efficient LED's, they come in white or warm white. The warm white give off a warmer light, similar to what we are used to from our traditional light bulbs. The warm whites vary hugely from brand to brand, so view them before buying them. I would recommend a dimmer switch so you can control the amount of light. Not all fittings are suitable for dimming. Re the mirror I wouldn't put gold as you have a chrome fire surround. But burnished metals are perfect. Good luck....See MoreNeed help with feature wall in kitchen
Comments (42)Wow, you have done a great job already with your kitchen. You have had so many great ideas re. the wall there isn't anything on that I could add. To solve the problem of the chairs hitting the wall I would either opt for a huge floor to ceiling mirror which would encourage one and all to be careful when leaving their seat or my preferred option would be to replace the chairs on that side with a bench. I'd cover the bench in either shabby chic cushions or a deer or sheepskin rug for comfort and I'd play with table decor. Get chair covers for the redundant chairs and use them in the bedrooms - one in each corner. Then for formal dinner parties or for when the table is extended you simply remove the covers and add them to the table and you can still use the bench if the table is extended....See MoreNeed help with painting a feature wall
Comments (2)Paint the Wall completely white first. When it is completely dry ( a few days ), buy some LOW tac decorators tape and mask off the edges of where you want the grey and then paint the grey. Grey at the top sounds good, it will define the ceiling / wall areas....See Moremac2007
