Ventilation for an understairs toilet .

I would like to put a toilet under the stairs. There is room for this ,although it slopes slightly, and there is a small passage way between the living room and the under stairs space . I do wonder about ventilation as there is only a small passage way between the living areas and what could be the toilet area and there isn't an external wall as the stairs are situated in the middle of the house . The under stairs are directly beneath the toilet and bathroom upstairs , so plumbing should be quite easy .
