Master bedroom space

Hi, I'm looking for some ideas on what to do with this half of our bedroom? The slanted ceiling is pretty low so our bed wouldn't fit there. Any ideas? We are expecting a baby in January so maybe a baby area? Let me know thanks!!!

I might put white shelving along that wall, either for books and decorative items, or baskets for storage. I got mine from IKEA for an upstairs hall. These are deep enough so that perhaps you won't bonk your head!

I think shelves are a good idea. Anything where you need headroom place under the skylight.

Hi I love the warm caramel colour on the walls! I think I would try to create an eye piece I.e softer headboard in maybe a tonal colour to the walls. I would also have a built in storage area where you have the chests in the triangular area, to maximise space/storage. A focal point would encourage the eye away from the window. As the space behind pillow area is limited, a bespoke/DIY headboard would work. I will look for photos, sorry I've not attached any yet. It's a good space to work with and the bed could be layered to look elegant and inviting.

Hi! Sounds like a fun project. I love a good farmhouse. Man about the house has given you some excellent suggestions for adding a shower in. It definitely seems to be just about moving the door into the bathroom and reconfiguring that space to be able to fit a shower in there as well. For the ground floor I'm wondering if moving the entrance to the side might be possible - just in front of the stairs and creating a hall that takes a slice off the back of the living room and joins up with your existing hall - so you basically get a bigger hall that includes the stair and the main entrance. That could then fit some bootroom type space in and coat hanging so it becomes a really useful space. Then I'm thinking you could make the porch element much wider, basically a single storey extension to the front, so that your living room pushes forward into the front garden. You will be able to get a lot more light in to the living room and will be able to just have the one door in from the hall so it becomes a much more usable living room. This would need planning permission and extensions to the front are more difficult to get approval, but this seems like a logical approach to improving the space for you. Hiya, Ok so I've converted your measurements into mm so these are equivalent to ft, in drawing we use mm. So I think you will need to close off two windows to the east side to get a decent size walk in wardrobe. I've tried to leverage the longest wall in the bedroom without losing too much floor space. I've added your bed with some bedside tables and as you can see you have plenty of space still around you. Keeping the south side patio doors as that will give you light throughout the day. In terms of your walk in wardrobe I played with different sizes and came up with 50-70-50mm dimensions, you could go bigger or smaller as you have plenty of room. Although I would allow 1metre gap between your bed and the wardrobes otherwise it could get a bit crammed. Also think it would be useful and nice to have a little seat to put on shoes etc. you could even add a seat on the opposite side if you wanted. Allowing to entrances to your walk in wardrobe allows light to flow from one side to the other and it doesn't block your patio doors either. I've added lots of dimensions hope this helps!
