Help choosing mirror, floor, accessories & wall colour!
Comments (8)You need to add some personality in this room. First the flooring; you don't want to visually fight with the geometric wall tiles so try this attractive and practical flooring from Karndean http://houzz.com/photos/16332081. It's interesting without having a strong pattern. Decor; I would be inclined to use some pops of colour with a warm neutral background. The pops can be in the form of pictures or you could use wallpaper. Window; You will need to dress the window so you could add the colour here, with a roller blind or roman blind for instance. Mirror; go for the largest your room will take. If you want to go whacky, then let the mirror frame do it for you. Glitzy, glam or just plain colourful!...See MoreNeed help choosing range colour, wall colour and tiles in kitchen
Comments (27)Update - alabaster painted oak units, oak worktop, (curved end units and worktop corners) belfast sink, 1100 stainless steel rangemaster porcelain large high gloss ivory 600x600 floor tiles, ivory grout - please see attached look book just still to decide on shade of sage on walls - deciding between F&B Mizzle, Vert De Terre, Ball Green and Cooking Apple Green... Also metro sub/way tiles on walls - whether to go for a sage tile or cream/white... The dining room area off the kitchen will have oak parquet floor which will follow through from hall and will also be in the lounge but Im thinking of following the wall colour in the kitchen through to the dining room for continuity and potentially painting the chimney brest or wall furthest away from and facing the kitchen a darker green complementary colour... Thoughts please...See MoreNeed help choosing colour for feature wall in kitchen/dining room
Comments (9)I love this colour but think that you won't notice the dark kitchen cabinets. To make your existing furniture stand out I think you need contrast. I think the earlier suggestion of orange is fun but to include the Brinjal I would paint the walls green and then add pops of the brinjal. Perhaps if you get some light picture frame add a border of brinjal to give them more presence. Alternatively hang inexpensive canvasses - I would choose three long thin ones and paint one and either wall paper in a similar colour or staple on fabric to add pattern....See MoreHelp with choosing colour for kitchen tiles and wall
Comments (4)Hello Shahida, You could create something dramatic to compliment.. A fantastic tile company called Bert & May do a whole range from reclaimed, handmade, concrete and more.. You could tile a row on the wall round the edge of the worktop to compliment the flooring.. :)) http://www.bertandmay.com/...See MoreUser
