Comments (14)Agree with all the suggestion, def need a blind. With regards to clothes think about how much you need to store, on hangers or can be folded. I have tiny wardrobe but with shelves so holds loads it was an up-cycled old gentlemen's wardrobe I think. A friend is just making hanging wardrobe from old wooden ladder. Comments (11)Have you tried Ikea? I know that you said he didn’t need a desk, however I can highly recommend their Stuva range. My daughter used to be in a smaller room than your sons and we got her this. (Her room was a similar width that didn’t fit an adult bed, and the length was a bit shorter than your room). It was a fantastic price and gave her plenty of storage. It was the storage that she really needed. The desk actually came in handy and on the wall above the desk I attached a hanging rail for pots of pens etc and then an Ikea trofast wall shelf for more stuff. For a tiny room it looked great, and because the Stuva isn’t baby-ish, she was happy to stay in it until she was 11, when she moved into a larger bedroom. The Stuva is a really popular range - you might also pick one up on gumtree or eBay too. We sold ours after a few years and got most of the money back. It really was a bargain!! The link is to the 4 drawer version. They do other versions such as 3 deeper drawers instead of the 4, or even open shelves instead of the drawers. The drawers are all full size too. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/stuva-fritids-loft-bed-combo-w-4-drawers-2-doors-white-white-s29262162/...See MoreMaking a bed-deck mini loft conversion to make a bigger bedroom?
Comments (26)I was one of the original poster. Eventually in our case, building control wouldn't allow this - they originally OKd the plans, but then wouldn't allow the removal of the ceiling from the box room. There was a "galleries" approval that we explored but they weren't having that either....See More
