Comments (1)Yes I prefer the flat pale grey tile. Have you thought about white travertine mosaics the rectangular ones as they aren't really white and could work really well as you have modern units with traditional aspects on the cooker & work tops. Alternatively a glass splash back all the way round in a pale grey. Also Laura Ashley does a nice pale french grey rectangular tile which I think is on offer at the moment in Homebase. They do an off white and you could mix the colours. They are the traditional non bevelled shiny ceramic type which would be very nice against the cranberry....See MoreNeed help on kitchen splashback area please!!
Comments (5)Hi rubydiffey, I agree with Kharis & Kale, a metro tile would be great using a couple of colours to create a pattern and some interest. There is another company that uses a slightly different shaped tiles to create a pattern in the tiles. That's a really lovely kitchen, I think perhaps using a natural material with variation will be an excellent finishing touch...have a look at our New York Brick tiles, we keep these in stock in West London can send a sample if you think these could work http://www.stoneandceramicwarehouse.co.uk/wall-tiles/floors/item/new-york-bricks...See Morekitchen help! the finishing touch
Comments (6)Thx! It is indeed an upstand what I'm looking for :). No need to worry about the oven or microwave. That's all fixed and at perfect height for me. A stand alone microwave will be places inside one of the hanging cabinets. Below those cabinet I will place some lights. More lights van be placed if needed, but in the ceiling I will at least place 4 LED lamps. Good idea of the shelves on the left wall. I had the same idea because I would like to maintain an open feeling. For the sizes I would like to refer to the picture below. But I'm still doubting is I should go for black, brown (to match the tall cabinets) or something else......See MoreVeronika Mickova
