Do you have a champagne bucket at home?

I've spotted quite a few champagne buckets/wine buckets in photos on Houzz and was just wondering, how common is it to have one in the home? And more importantly, is it being used?

I bought one from an auction, but sad to say haven't used it so far.

We are lucky enough to have an actual Spa. Hand constructed obviously given the nature of what i do for a living. It sits in a corner of our garden only a hop from our back door. We have a two stage raised deck with sunken hot tub, a Sauna, fridge freezer with ice dispenser for entertaining etc. The whole thing has a tile and glass roof with pine & full length glass doors. Oh yep, and a Chiminea with a chimney! It also has a cat flap, and the cat totally thinks it's her own room, she scowls as soon as you open the door and walk in!

They paved paradise and out up a parking lot. Then when it rained hard the toilets all overflowed. Permeable paving and planting to soften and break it up could avoid widespread catastrophe. If the space in front of house where big enough I would create something with planting around and amongst it. It isn't big though. It might just fit a tiny electric car but that wouldn't be adequate for work.

ohhh we also have a pearl drum kit proper noisy and in the shed, my daughter plays that also quite well in fact she's only 6 and my hubby tries to play! that also may find a home somewhere in the home.

Yes, we have two - one that's portable for camping (wet suit material) and one that is black plastic with a removeable ice bag that goes into the freezer to chill before use. Not quite what they used to be in terms of glamour eh? ;-P

Not a champagne bucket but one of our team does have a lead crystal decanter for camping - why let standards slip! We are always happy to engrave them!

I do have a champagne bucket which I proudly often leave in the garden.. The more weathered the better... and I also have a riddle board or riddling rack as they are also known.. : ))

You can get a trough for Champagne in your fitted kitchen.
It us effectively a sink with a plug but no taps. You fill it with ice and drinks for parties..... Awesome idea if you have the room.

Yes I've got one, I bought it in the West Elm sale for under £10, even though it's pewter with mother of pearl! I've used it a few times when friends or family are over and we're drinking champagne or white wine.

I used to have one but only used it once or twice. If I'm honest I'm not sure a bottle ( I actually prefer prosecco ) lasts that long in our household with or without friends over! I do love Jonathans idea though and that would fit several bottles :) I love a decanter for red wine though which is just used for entertaining as that's the only time we buy decent red rather than a half price Rioja deal at the supermarket!

I love Jonathanb1972s comment about a champagne trough (the word trough just makes the whole concept so much more appealing) and also Minnie's big silver bucket! Raising a glass of dare I say it Prosecco in a lovely Sunday afternoon toast!

Hi Fizzfan, sadly that's Victoria's champagne bucket but I may be copying! Prosecco on a Sunday afternoon sounds great, it feels a little naughty drinking during the day so far more enjoyable!

Cheers to a bit of naughtiness Minnie, although I have to admit to having neither a bucket (big or otherwise) or indeed a trough. I do however have a small additional fizz fridge! (It just doesn't have the same look or ring to it though) Hope you had a lovely afternoon. Bottoms up!

A champagne or wine bucket is a total neccesity! Keeps the wine nice and cold adds a touch of sophistication and is easy.
I use one whenever I open a bottle of sparkly or white.

You can use a worktop mounted bin, just fill with ice and empty when not in use. Kid of bin is flush with work surface. Very sleek

Is four buckets a little excessive? To be fair, two are actually trophies that I leave on the mantel (dressed here for Christmas). One is kept in the hunt board in the dining room and pulled out for parties. The other one is in the lower level bar and filled with neoprene koozies.
