Beautiful curtains!

I have a sloped roof and window at my parents house (which although beautiful, means I have never had any curtains or blinds!) Is it very difficult to make the curtains hang well? What material is used here?

Sloping walls, whilst tricky, are quite easy to dress. We would usually recommend shaped curtains. I hope this helps. Thanks Bebe Best wishes Kate

Totally agree with VLS Curtain Makers Ltd. Whether you choose curtains or blinds to dress a window they should be what you like and want, suit the property and your lifestyle. I have clients with pets who would rather have a blind so that the fabric doesn't get covered in dog hair, whereas other clients prefer to have curtains trailing across the floor simply because they like the look and it suits how they live and the style of the property as well as their other furnishings.

Hello Ffion. As it was already mentioned above it is not recommendable to sleep with a window behind your head. Can you upload some more pictures of your bedroom? Just to have an idea how it is organised. I believe there is always solution ;). You can believe or not but your sleeping problems may be caused more by the placement of your bed then street lights. You could try John Lewis, they will make made to measure curtains. Alternatively, try to find someone local to you - look in local papers/local websites (even look on Houzz in "find professionals"!). I have some beautiful curtains made locally. Even if you have to source your own fabric, it may be a good way to get exactly what you're looking for.

I agree with Carolina, you appear to be going for a monotone look from that photo. You also appear to have some nice light coming through from the left as well so seeing that side of the room would be helpful. In addition, when taking photos of rooms and stuff to post on here, I have learnt from all the experts on here that it is best to remove all the things that won't be in the room when you have finished. So the red box, the black blanket (?) the laptop may all distract from you seeing what you could do with the room. Have you looked through Houzz to see accessories that would go in the room too? Building a style gallery would also help the posters see what you do and don't like and help them suggest alternatives. Personally I am leaning toward a plaster pink colour with some brass highlights to go with that sofa. Look forward to seeing more photos of the space!
