What wood is it made from? And how long does a summerhouse like this take to build? Thank you in advance!

Thank you, they are handcrafted from Western Red Cedar and our current lead time is 6 weeks. Installation generally takes a full day. If you need any further information, please ask.

It all depends on the job and individual's personal attitude towards garden work. Some of us just like to enjoy it, while others take great joy in the making. I would definitely hire a pro to do skilled or dangerous tasks like tree pruning or do jobs that require specialistic tools i.e. extensive levelling etc. I would also always hire a pro to advise on plants and their composition or to help with layout design, but personally I would do as much of the work myself, as I find garden work very relaxing, not to mention it gives the feeling of pride and a job well done once completed.

I think putting a hard building in that gap would be a mistake. You need some gorgeous landscaping and you could create a fabulous vista there. I have attached some pictures of what I think could work really well. Also have a look at hazel hurdles, you can install these with ease ( wooden posts driven into the ground and the hurdles attached to it. They have a wonderful soft appearance against green planting and sit well in any type of gardens. That would give you a lovely view from inside and increase the feeling of space in the garden, then maybe a garden room can sit somewhere else in the garden to give you that extra room you need? photo credit @hannah dean interiors

Hi Rachel, Sorry for the late reply again, full day in the garden..🤷‍♂️ gotta make the most of the weather! Thank you for this design, I really like your presentation and it does encourage me to ‘have a go’ with the art work, although I don’t think I’ll be posting any of my efforts on here! I wish I also shared your enthusiasm about growing green fingers, but I will try and I’m quite determine to give it a go. Thank you so much for all your ideas and designs over the last few days.. it is really quite humbling the help and enthusiasm from all on here, especially in these days of unprecedented and bizarre circumstances. It has also given me a boost and of course something to focus on whilst on lockdown (I’d never would have had the time/or the weather to have launched myself into this in normal times!) Hopefully I’ll be able to come back to you with some early stage pics of the garden and some design ideas that we’ve taken up.
