Help..which colour modern radiator should I go for...Black or grey?

We have an open plan living/dining area. The radiator is going to in the dining area. We have grey upholstered dining chairs and a walnut dining table. We also have a black large mirror, a black book case and 2 black photo frames - the radiator will sit under the 2 frames. Which colour do you suggest I go for?

Depends what the rad looks like. I would usually suggest paint the colour of the walls.. If something fantastic and old style like the two I love which are fantastic anywhere.. They have a modern industrial finish which deserves to be shown off.. then I would suggest grey or charcoal but a matt finish rather than gloss. They do though come in a range of finishes.. from chrome to nickel to a copper/brassy finish.. Again it depends on the walls... better to see what you are talking about and the room itself with the furnishings to really get an idea.... .. . :))
Or if a box standard plain and boring.. painted as wall will be or add a cover as Brandi suggested- quite plain and then paint as walls are painted.. ..

We love using coloured radiators in our bathroom design. It is so easy to do now as the quality manufacturers such as Bisque, Zehnder and SBH stock the popular colours such as anthracites, steel and beiges. Even the bespoke colours only take a few weeks to be delivered. It is such a simple way to help give a bathroom the WOW factor.

Hi. I think the room is lovely with lots of character and you have a lot of lovely things! I wouldn't change the fireplace, it's reminiscent of an old french/English limestone so I think sits perfectly. Maybe look at the actual fire. If you go for panelling I would replicate the panels under the windows. I'd paint the door off white and also paint the mirror a stone or pale cream colour. I think the window sofa needs lightening up with some patterned cushions. I'd also pull it out from the window a little. I'd move the low cabinet under the art and pop the kids stuff by the lounge window. Is the coffee table normally by the sofa? Can that be accessorised or is it not advisable with the kids?! The bookcase sideways on doesn't work for me but that may be the camera angle. Can that fit either end of the dining table and move the sideboard next to the fire? I think the only thing missing is some pattern. maybe some old blue/white ceramics ie ginger jar. Maybe also a plant or 2. Perhaps a patterned rug?

Well, the chippies van was up the drive when I got home from work - a little unexpected. At first I thought that he was sleeping with the Mrs, but then I remembered that he needed to finish the skirting boards. He's done a cracking job - quite a few tricky internal/external corners, plus the corners not being exactly 90 degrees he was back and forth to his saw all the time. He really did a stirling job. It was 13 meters of skirting in total - which took him 4.5 hours in total (over 2 evenings) and it cost me £90. Considering I was origionally going to do it, it could well be the best £90 I've spent on this whole kitchen. I need to get a lick of paint inside the alcove that's pictured. Our little fishtank will be returning in there, but as it's out I may as well do it. When we get the bar stools, and dining room table & chairs I will update again. So: What would I change/add/remove ADD - Somewhere to hang the tea-towels. We have some on the inside of a cuboard, but they keep falling off. Maybe I need some slightly more expensive 'hangers'. The space where they could have gone we put a spice rack/draw thingie - that's probably better though. ADD - We forgot about the bin! Now we have our pedal-bin basically kicking around the kitchen. The Mrs has already filled the cupboards to maximum capacity so I'm having trouble getting an internal cupboard one past her. I think I may just fit one then deal with her later. The bin has gravitated to a semi-perminant place, but with the kids trying to be *cough* helpfull the wall is already beginning to get the odd splatter of 'stuff' where they just throw their food in the general direction of it. Last night I said 'Well, why don't we just put it in the utility room' - She shot that idea down instantly as she obviously isn't happy about the extra 4 steps that it would take to walk all-that-way into another room. Poor thing! Typical woman lol. ADD - At the start of the project I would have got the electricians to chase in another mains wire from the fusebox so that it comes out of the kitchen wall centrally to the back garden, then I would put a PIR Security Light in. I know that it's not a big job by any means, and I could, and probably will, do it myself over the coming weeks but if I could have had it without a wire on the outside of the house then that'd would have been perfect. Also, thinking about it, I would have actually got him to do it at the front of the house as well as he re-wired the whole downstairs with new fusebox etc.

Nice room, love the bed and bedspread. I can't find one ATM but I would repeat the wood for a bed end stool (but not with clashing legs as shown!) as it looks as if you've got the room. If you can't find an upholstered one then go for wood and add a cushion/s and throw (I'd drape a throw in either case, preferably a fringed one). I tried a brighter lampshade and the green and I think I prefer the green (they are a bit bigger than they should be as I couldn't shrink them Plus the chandelier could go lower!). I'd choose a pleated lamp shade for texture and add oval mirrors. I did try cushions on the bed but it seemed too lovely to cover! I'd also paint the radiator in the wall colour
