Cladding material and brand

What is the cladding material used on the rear of the extension. It looks like zinc or aluminium. I'm interested in finishing my side return rear elevation in a similar way.

Good afternoon, You may need to seek planning permission if you wish the change the cladding material, unless it is of similar appearance to the previous. One option would be to match external features (such as cladding) with adjacent properties on this street, to avoid it looking out of place.

Thank you Vivtoria. I don't seem to be getting my notifications so apologies for my lack of response. Thank you for the recommendations however, have decided to go with the solid oak as I'm not a fan of veneer. I have also figured that the steps will level out as I'll be adding equal sized threads to each stair....I think it will work out. I think 🤔
