Comments (17)Hi, I posted some photos and floor plan on another thread awhile ago. Here is the link - https://www.houzz.co.uk/discussions/do-you-have-a-cloakroom-dsvw-vd~3409933?n=12 From recollection, the cost was about £8K which included having a new window put in and moving the electrics consumer unit. I had to pay an additional £2K to have the elec and gas meters moved outside. Remember to include heating in the new room otherwise it will only be used 8 months a year! I have found it very useful as my elderly parents now have difficulty with the stairs when they visit and the only other loo is in the bathroom. No problems until someone wants to spend a long time in the bath or to take ages doing their makeup....See MoreRadiator in understairs loo?
Comments (10)I'm thinking your thinking is fair/correct. :) We have a small radiator in our downstairs loo which we turned off years ago after a small leak (from the radiator, I hasten to add...). It's been off ever since and no one's ever complained about our toilet being too cold....See MorePenny floor for the understairs bathroom
Comments (9)I have never seen one of these before, but I think it would look great in a downstairs WC. I always think the downstairs loo is somewhere that you can afford to do something a little different and quirky. Having watched the full video, I do not think cleaning or maintenance would be an issue (and I am a total clean freak), the floor has a fairly substantial coat of resin over it, so there are no gaps or nooks and crannies for dirt to build up. I would imagine you would just mop it as with any hard floor?....maybe followed by a buff up to get rid of any smears, but in a small room that should not be too laborious. Please do post photos if you decide to go with it. Good luck :-)...See Morejanki1982
