Light beige laminate floor, grey walls, what colour stair carpet?

Hi, I have light beige laminated floor in hallway and pavilion grey, by farrow and ball, paint on walls what colour carpet do you think I should go for please?

How about a stripe from the Cormar Avebury range, it will bring together the beige and greys you've used.

Hello,

You could consider grey, black, beige, orange, red. It really depends what is your personal style as you can bring a lot out of it.

hi all, update is I have finally found a photo of someones stairs done in Brintons timorous beastie yellow Ruskin butterfly and its made me decide we are definitely 100% going for this as I love it (see attached pics) on stairs and landing... Floor in hall will be oak herringbone parquet, just wall colour to decide and we have bought new tall skirting so colour to paint this also? i have attcahed apic of the hall currently so you can see our front door with stain glass.. As Ive mentioned before the banister and spindles will be replaces with square spindles with an oak top banister and oak end cap - similar to this houzz pic ... So just to deicide on wall colour and new skirting colour... I really like f&b light blue in a hall with oak parquet but I don't feel this will go with the carpet... Kitchen and dining room will be one of the sage shades and lounge Wimborne white and downpipe...

I think i would have looked to stripping the floor too, but a nice overlayed wooden floor would be good. Try to steer away from the black and grey, it's going to look very cold. The T.V should be to the right of the Chimney breast and not on it. Otherwise the T.V becomes the focus not the fireplace. You also need to inject some warmth with an accent colour. Fiddes hard wax oil is great for floorboards Fiddes Either way with the floor you'll need a rug to add warmth and luxury back into the room, so go for thick and plush, I too like the grey one above.

Hi Pauline, We think a subtle grey shade would work well in your space, helping to break up the cream and brown while playing off the duck egg blue. Hi Monica, If your room dark and narrow it's better to stick with light colours to make it visually bigger. I would advice you to make one wall light grey colour so it matches your carpet and add some bright decor such as cushions/vases/flowers/books/frames (see the picture below). You can change your decor every season (summer/winter) and your room will be all the time different. For instance, I have 2 sets of cushion for my sofa - winter ones and summer ones as well as different coffee table decor so that I can change my room mood. Hope, this information is helpful. Anna
