Wine rack for pantry

We have a pantry which we have now finished painting and the old wine rack we are using is a terrible use of space, we need to get lots more bottles in :-)
Anyone know of a place we can get funky, cheap wine racks which would use the space more efficiently?

You aren't necessarily going to gain extra space to store more bottles. Because you aren't changing the overall volume.

Depending how handy you are. One option is to cut two sheets of material to the size of the opening, width and height - so it looks like you have two doors.
Then use a hole saw, 75mm, too drill as many holes as you can get in the board leaving enough room between holes to keep structural integrity.
Repeat in the second board with the same spacing or secure both boards together, temporarily and drill both sets of holes together.
Finally install 4 spacer blocks to create the depth required to support the neck and base of the bottle.
Fill holes and paint to your desired colour.

The boards should look like a piece of Swiss cheese when finished. Well it won't but you hopefully get the principle.

Whilst you might not be able to increase the current capacity of the space shown in your photo, if you have more bottles to accommodate than your current space will allow, you might like to consider creating a separate wine tower in your kitchen, or in an under-stair or cupboard space?

This is similar to Spur shelving - the weakness is on the hook that connects the underside of the shelf to the uprights. Personally with the amount of weight that you propose putting on shelves I would opt for something that has been drilled directly into the wall. I know the uprights are drilled, but it is the small bracket is the problem. The larger brackets drilled into the wall as per the photos from rickster88 is your best bet.

I think the best way to approach this is to consider what you need to store, in what quantities and what sizes? Do you have lots of cans/sauce jars/cereal boxes? What do you use most frequently? Make sure these items are the most easily accessible and preferably on open display so you're not hunting in drawers or behind other stuff. I think pantries often work best when they're not too deep so you don't loose things towards the back. Though the ones that have storage within the doors are good for making sure everything stays accessible. I would suggest going for a pale wood interior to try and cut down on dark corners where things get forgotten. Or consider adding LED lights than turn on when the door is opened. Do consider if you have tall pasta jars, oil bottles, wine, a coffee maker or other unusual shapes etc that you want to store. Also decide early on if it would be helpful to have a plug socket built in. Don't just choose something because it looks nice or works for someone else - make the most of the opportunity to completely customise this to fit your buying and cooking habits and that of your family. For example if there's small kids in the house do you want space lower down they can easily grab bits from? If you have a tall and fairly empty bookcase at home you can even try approximately mapping where to put everything you usually buy on this.

Thanks minie, yeah I’m pleased with this one too - the app didn’t have an option for a tall unit with just a single oven, so I had to make do with what they had, but yes, we would just have a single oven in one and the other would have a combo micro/oven and warming drawer so it would all line up. And I just shoved a few things on the shelves without really thinking, but yes the open shelving would look neater than that! I’m also considering whether to have the breakfast bar and the units on the opposite island of the hob to be higher units so it is about 18cm higher than the hob. That way could potentially have the breakfast bar directly opposite the hob, although the higher units would have to be 300 deep which means people sitting even nearer the hob, albeit higher up - I’m not sure if the hob would still pose a risk in this case with fat splashes etc?
