Bathroom Art

I have a new bathroom, tiles black and white, walls painted white. Would like to add one other color to give the room a pop, thought of a teal. Do you have ideas to decorate, painting, decor, etc. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi anottawagirl, your post caught my eye as we have this client photo of a teal artwork that we created for their bathroom :) Signarture perspex artworks are perfect for bathrooms. Unlike with canvases, or framed prints on paper, they aren't going to suffer from the humidity of the bathroom - moisture causes timber frames to warp and canvases and paper to attract mold. What about glass objects in front of window with light coming through them?
Plants in dark greens.

Hello,

It would be very helpful to see some images of your bathroom. Is it contemporary style or traditional?

If you go for the traditional look, you could add some artwork and ornaments. If is contemporary style, than you can consider adding some contemporary artwork, framed images, clock, wallpaper, etc.

Dear Michelle, Your bathroom is so beautiful! I am not sure if I would put anything on that wall as the overall look is nice already and doesn't feel like something is missing. Alternatively I would get maybe glass shelves as they go perfectly with your contemporary style bathroom but would keep the decoration simple. StJames Design Interiors

As much as you probably don't want to hear this, I would highly recommend sticking with this bathroom until you are ready to do a complete refurb. It's a decent bathroom and sometimes, it's nice to live in the space to find out what you actually need. This normally happens when you have to live with something you don't actually want to. Once you've lived in it, you will get more ideas on the 'must haves' in your future ideal bathroom. Many clients have tried and tested this method, and honestly say that this is the best decision they made by not rushing into things. In the meantime, add plants and perhaps, a bathmat to your taste.

Hi. It would be good to see a pic. One idea depending on the height of your ceiling is to paint that teal. I think another colour that works really well with black is grass green. You could add towels and a plant etc and then art such as this for the walls. Or maybe just paint your walls a mid warm grey and then add teal for accessories
