Hi Vicki, I would go for bigger tiles, ones that are 60 cm x 30 cm. If you use smaller tiles the outcome may look too busy with your chosen floor tiles. I also suggest choosing very light grey wall tiles, the colour of which matches to the grey background colour of the floor tiles. That would give you the industrial sort of vibe you are aiming to achive. Order different samples and see how the combinations look in your bathroom. A picture would really help! A large landscape mirror is a good bet in narrow hallways, as long as the frame is not obstructive. A dado rail will help break up the height (so giving the illusion of more width), and allows her to paint a bolder colour below the dado without making the space too dark (white or off white above the dado). Maybe even a picture rail too. She could use satin eggshell under the dado, it’s tougher and more easily cleaned than emulsion, and also has a sheen to reflect light. A large coir mat near the front door, spanning the full width of the hall, to help keep things clean and also reduce the visual length of the hall (to help it look wider)

That's interesting colourhappy - we did omit the aqua tiles and put just the taupe with blanco (which has some grey tones in the variations) but it looked a little bland which is why we thought the aqua might liven it up but now I'm thinking you are right and they are too cool for the flagstones.

On top of the skirting? No way! I think that would look awful. Far too bulky in a sleek designed room. We have an ensuite which has the wall tiles sitting on top of the floor tiles to give the impression of more of a wet room effect. We also have a main bathroom and in here have the floor tiles cut to the size of the skirting that was originally in there height wise and then placed on top of the floor tiles So one room has nothing and the other room has the floor tiles up the wall as a skirting.
