Alternative paint colour?

I love the room and would love to do something similar, but not using grey paint. Amy suggestions on an alternative colour? The room is quite dark to begin with.

hi, if you don't like the grey may we suggest the cotton or slate range from Paint & Paper Library.

thanks Jonathan, I like that idea. I have decided (for now) to paint the wall to see the effect on the light in the room and then work my way up to the wallpaper :¬) although I have looked more at the wallpaper and wonder if it has too much brown in it so I am also looking for another (cheaper) wallpaper.

How about a water feature? Line it with polythene well stapled to the inside. Then fill with water and add a pond fountain. A small one wouldn’t cost much. You could even, dare I say, add a Pygmy lily plant. Very hard plant to kill! Failing that what about fake plants?

Thanks so much, thought it was gone altogether. Unfortunately ive just thrown caution to the wind and painted out my Overtly Olive to Dulux Golden Sands/Jasmine White. Holey moley its strong, lol! New second hand sofa, foot stool and accessories next 👍
