New home - would like grey instead of pink..
At present the house has a pink theme in the living space (lounge and dining are open plan). I would love to use very light greys / matt silver without having to repaint the whole room. Also the blind fabric and curtains will be replaced but not sure if the fabric should match? The kitchen is off to the right (no door just an archway)
and that is white & black so trying to create a palatte that will work throughout. Help!

It all depends on what you want to achieve. In this case, according to the style and furniture selection, this pastel pink is such a nice touch. It's not about the colour, it's about pastel. If the owner would have chosen a blue or green pastel the result would be the same. At this point, with the style and features chosen, it's just a matter of personal taste to choose between certain pastel colours. Even though I don't like this style or soft pink, I must say it's a very good job as the space harmonious, soft and warm, with a good style balance (not too classic nor modern). I think you may like a splash of colour in the bathroom by adding a canvas roman blind in a bold teal with a coordinating runner rug and some luxurious towels. A wall mounted rack for folded towels above the loo, will interrupt the monotone of the wall as may a plant or some. Comments (152)Hi Nicky, my apologies I have only just seen your message. We went for cornforth white Farrow and Ball (which it definitely not white). The shutters are not back open yet but some of them will need to go back on because the large expanses of grey look very grey. The bits next to the white look less austere. The new white garage door with windows has made a big difference. And I think you might be right about the weathering of the "traditional" shade of Marshalls driveway products. Have been noticing this as a pass local front gardens. Anyone have any ideas for a warm/soft white shade for the exterior wall? 8 years agolast modified: 8 years agoStill struggling to make decisions! Bedrooms are planned (stuff ordered) but not the living / dining area. Living end of the room is so narrow every sofa I like is too deep and will close the space in even more. Modern sofa... Or more tradional given the wood and gas fire? as you can see from original photos the kitchen is adjoining and is quite modern. Arrrggghhh. Dining table also needs to be bought... Two style to decide on too.
