Feature wallpaper but what curtains?

We're thinking of using a dark feature wallpaper on one wall in our bedroom, other 3 walls will be white. No idea what sort of fabric pattern/ plain for the curtains. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

If you're using this wallpaper if go with full length gold curtains (and dark rather than white walls)

I like the idea of this wallpaper with white. I'd focus on textured fabric. Velvet would work as well. Check out Clarke and Clarke, Harlequin or Wemyss fabrics. The options are endless. But before you start your search, settle on the main colour and don't get tempted by the vast offers on the market. Good luck.

It's a non woven fibre back not paper backed hence paste the wall. The face is made from what I can only describe as pieces of cork stuck to the surface that have been dyed to give a shimmer look it is rough to the touch but soft material. You wouldn't use this where heavy traffic is expected i.e. a staircase as it would easily scuff. Yes it does look rough and you might think if you fell against it you might graze yourself but it is in fact quite springy if you press it. We install using a board and knife and it cuts fairly easily, the backing is tougher than the face to cut This picture is one inputting up right now!

Hi P108 P What we know is that she is a teenager, and doesn't like pinks, but she likes greens and blues. Consider painting ceiling and walls in different colour than white - consult with her. What colour paint to complement feature wallpaper?

Hi I think something alone the line in a warmer neutral grey paint colour would work, like Farrow & Ball Purbeck stone no.275, Mole's Breath no. 276, or something more on the red tone, Farrow & Ball's London Clay no.244, or Brinjal no.222. I quite like both of above ideas - perhaps combined. - Eg. textured gold velvet.

Another option could be a nice airy neutral like ivory. If you want to cool the palette a little - depends on which wall colour you go for of course.

If you go with a texture or pattern go with a smaller scale than the wallpaper pattern scale, Something gentle and subtle.

If you go more neutral the ivory or cream might be nice with some texture.

Just be aware darker the material on the window (rather than lighter colour) will take light from room.

You could go for neutral colours. Golden, brown, grey would definitely suit the current colour scheme of your room. Would you like to add some warm colours?
