Feature wallpaper but what curtains?

We're thinking of using a dark feature wallpaper on one wall in our bedroom, other 3 walls will be white. No idea what sort of fabric pattern/ plain for the curtains. Any ideas greatly appreciated!

If you're using this wallpaper if go with full length gold curtains (and dark rather than white walls)

I like the idea of this wallpaper with white. I'd focus on textured fabric. Velvet would work as well. Check out Clarke and Clarke, Harlequin or Wemyss fabrics. The options are endless. But before you start your search, settle on the main colour and don't get tempted by the vast offers on the market. Good luck.

I would add a wallpaper. I think maybe a mauve, pale blue or green would be nice with some coordinated accessories. What colour is the flooring? The 1st is by Cole and Son. The 2nd is Thibaut (they do this in various colours but could only find a good image in brown). It's difficult without knowing your taste!

So many different ones out there and what better feature for the kids. Granted, not easy on the adult eye necessarily but something the kids will never forget. I always remember thinking how cool my mum was for letting me paint a rainbow mural on my bedroom wall hen i was about 11yrs old!

Thank you. the current tiles in there are really quite big - much bigger than this size on the paper. To be honest I'm trying to do as much cosmetic improvement to the house as possible using as little money as possible so I hadn't thought of removing the bottom tiles and doing that whole wall with this paper but yes I think that would look good, much better than doing half. I imagine we could remove the current tiles ourselves but would then get someone in to re plaster that bit of wall? If so, how long is it before you can paper a newly plastered wall?

I'd agree that the whole wall may be too much. Either paper the alcoves or just the chimney breast. I quite like both of above ideas - perhaps combined. - Eg. textured gold velvet.

Another option could be a nice airy neutral like ivory. If you want to cool the palette a little - depends on which wall colour you go for of course.

If you go with a texture or pattern go with a smaller scale than the wallpaper pattern scale, Something gentle and subtle.

If you go more neutral the ivory or cream might be nice with some texture.

Just be aware darker the material on the window (rather than lighter colour) will take light from room.

You could go for neutral colours. Golden, brown, grey would definitely suit the current colour scheme of your room. Would you like to add some warm colours?
