Need help finding curtains that will compliment my sofa.

Hi - I am moving into a new apartment and have bought the below sofa and an armchair in the same velvet. I do not know what fabric or colour curtains to go with that will compliment my sofa. My lounge is an open plan lounge kitchen with a white gloss kitchen, lots of light and wooden flooring. I also don't know if I should keep my TV table more of a traditional style or modern- plus light fittings etc! Basically I need ideas! Thank you!

Are you wanting sheer curtains or blackout? Do you have any pictures of the room? Do you want a modern glam feel or a classic look?

Hello Rudolfdzin, That's quite a place!!!... I would suggest a light tile yes...Stone or something similar.. Mandarine Stone is a good place to look... I also think that you could have a large mirror in that adjoining area with all the chairs... I would also consider looking at the furnishings and possibly update to compliment the look of the house...I would move the rug from that adjoining room and place it somewhere else... I have attached a few things that would be amazing in your place... : ))

Love your bookcases and like the picture too. I would keep your curtains neutral, that is of a similar shade to your walls. Doesn’t have to be an exact match, just a similar tone. I’m not keen on strong colours on curtains. Taupe is a very elegant shade which, I think, will look classy and tie in with your sofa and wall colour nicely. You can then add texture and colour with cushions and wall art. You could paint your fireplace to give it a more modern look? Something like this

Hello, Sorry about that! Yes of course. The link shows the sofa that I would like. Its a corner sofa with a relaxed corner. Its deep with an adjustable back which is perfect for sitting up or relaxing. Do you want a pattern on the curtains or not? Your colour scheme reminds me of a very famous Mexican architect Ricardo Legoretta who put together reds oranges pinks and purples in a hotel that he was commissioned to design called Camino Real in Mexico DF in the 60s whre I once stayed - it was so weird - unless I had been in that room I would never have imagined huge splashes of these colours together would work - but it looked great - so how about going for red or red fading into pink (how it does on sillk) in quite a heavy warm material - btw LOVE the cushions !
