Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch. The paint is by Mylands from our Colours Of London collection. The top of the Kitchen cabinets is Sloane Square No.92, the base isArchway House No.106. The larder is Leadenhall No.118. They come in all our finishes: Marble Matt, Wood & Metal Matt, Eggshell (which is what has been used in the kitchen) or Gloss, Floor paint and Exterior Masonry.

The darkest is worsted. We have ruled it out but the sample had already been ordered from the kitchen place so took it anyway. I think we need the cooler blue greys so I am going to do bigger cards of lamp room grey and pavilion grey. I am swaying towards lamp room grey. Just to add, those last two pictures are during a heavy rain shower and it was very dark outside, its probably as dark as we will see the colours. I will take again in brighter conditions.

Thanks for all the comments. In reference to drawing attention to it, it's a fair point but isn't it a bit like a skirting board? Dark wall, white skirting board, stands out. We all do it. White walls with white skirting board would look odd, no? Personally, I like the dark grey pelmet (by the way, ignore the units below, there's no worktop on them at the moment) partly because it's not doing what is always done and partly because it does act a bit like an underline. My more important other half, however, prefers the light grey. She's the boss so she wins :/

Hi Yolanda - I'd change the stools, table and chairs, and swap the pendants for something in coloured glass or (personally) metallic, and change the cabinet handles from steel to brass/gold. Instant lift. Splashback-wise, try distressed mirror (suitably tempered and toughened) as it has loads of personality, bounces light around and is easy to clean. Then play with wall colour. Warm accents will stop the wood door from jarring so much (or paint it, if you can convince your husband). You have a lovely kitchen - will take very little to get it where you want!

Hi Sal89, I love sparkly things, but I would accessorise with sparkles and glitter rather than the worktop in case you change your mind 5 years on.... I have just done my kitchen and I went for a crystal chandelier and crystal knobs and I think it looks fabulous and very "me". I can change it when I get bored for a very minimal cost! The rest of the kitchen is plain with mussel and lamp room grey units and a white dekton worktop. Another option you can also add a glittery roman blind too! I did look at the glittery worktop it Wren and saw it a cheaper version in B&Q that appears exactly the same!
