I really like your kitchenettes fabulous, especially the floor tiles. What stone are they, and can I ask where you purchased them please? Many thanks

Porcelain is a tough tile which will not crack or break easily. they are very long lasting. vinyl is out dated and just doesn't look good. Your other option should be ceramic tiles. So it should be between ceramic and porcelain. I'd still recommend porcelain but ceramic is cheaper, that's the biggest advantage of ceramic. I bought these porcelain tiles two weeks ago, they look lovely. beautiful hexagon porcelain tiles

I agree with comegetme about getting samples together in the actual kitchen space. The reason why I prefer the lighter one is the pattern. Even though I really like the pattern in the darker one as a single tile, I think that the floor will end up with too many fairly clear lines running crisscross, or if they're laid in the same direction, the lines will never match. I think it would drive me bonkers. Whereas the marble effect tile has a softer and less linear pattern. But it might not be a problem for you :-)

He's managed to work the tiles to get them to sit against the wall now (after much cursing, lol) although they aren't technically straight but noone will notice (not even me and I'm a perfectionist 🤣) so 🤞 He said I can add any extra tiles to other areas at the end if I wanted to so will see how it looks first. The sink wall is only having a round mirror on so all the top will be wall anyway. Sometimes just typing it all up helps you make up your mind. 😁

Maybe some kind of tile trim? Most of them fit half under the tiles to secure them. Or plastic strips like window fitters use to tidy up gaps. Something like this but tile shops will have a selection.
