Need help with movable bedroom wall
Comments (7)That wall is very thick.......Is it supporting the roof ? Is it stone ? Have you checked with the structural engineer or the architect to see if it can be moved easily. Have you considered cutting a large opening in the wall instead of removing it ? You could have two sliding barn style doors that open up on either side so that each room is open to the other.......... Or you could have a wide pair of french doors with obscure glass........See MoreIn need of ideas /advice on feature wall in bedroom
Comments (10)Hi, As most people have already pointed out, a good design isn't just about one element like the wallpaper. It is about creating layers and balancing the elements correctly. I too think your gold could work perfectly well with the other walls, carpet and furniture, but you now need to layer accessories/soft furnishings and create a great balance that brings the scheme to life. One of the major problems with the space is the large 'gap' you have about the headboard. It may feel like it's the papers fault but you are just processing the gap as being uncomfortable.. Fill it with a mirror, art work or (I like the idea of) the fabric panel.. And this will make the room feel instantly more comfortable and inviting.. Add a few layers of cushions and you will have a great space. Keep us posted and best of luck, Gina...See MoreHelp! Lake condo bedroom needs help!
Comments (3)Hi Kathy, loving the blue upholstery on your bed. Very coastal and calming. A great focal point and start to what you trying to achieve [and the dresser too!] You have some great ideas. - have you thought of pendants by either side of the bed instead or just stick to your wall sconces [will give you much lighter / cosier feel]_black string = not bound to finish choices for the lighting body? [you could still use wall sconces - sconces also can go above the dresser [you have lots of options on mixing & matching] - you can relocate the pendant where the door is - where the fan is here [just close it off] - for walls, I would go for breezy/ coastal blue paint to add some life here or sand colour textured wallpaper - start with wall first & the rest will follow naturally and you will expand on with great confidence Message me if you are stuck or need pointing in the right direction. Comments (3)As Tani says, it is usually the wall behind the bed. Could you swap the bed with the tv and sideboard? You would get less reflection on the tv if it was on the same side as the window too....See Moreddsw11
