Dressing Room wallpaper ideas
Hi - I am decorating a small dressing room, and I want to have one feature wall. I am trying to decide on a wallpaper for this feature wall, and I'm looking for some help!
I would like something different, and fun. Attached are two (very different) options that I am considering. The room is west facing, if that makes any difference,

Room A north facing "through-lounge" in a new build, 3 bed semi detached house Paint Walls: Purbeck Stone, Farrow & Ball Ceiling: Strong White, Farrow & Ball By the way, the room isn't as long and skinny as it looks in the photos. Painting it all one colour actually made it feel much, much larger. We were really impressed with the quality of advice the F&B staff gave us in regards to colour. Comments (26)Hi. I hope you don't mind me saying but the stage area may be outgrown quite quickly unless you put in a big stage but I'm not sure there's the room. If you do go for a stage, I'd put it in the top left corner as you come through the door with the bed in the right corner with the pink style canopy (which should just fit?). Personally I love the canopy pictured against the wall (you can also tuck drapes out of harms way) and it will grow with your daughter. Your daughter certainly knows her own mind btw! The striped wallpaper would be good on that back bed wall with a canopy. You could mix striped wallpaper with patterned on the other walls if she wants that ie the stars? I would probably try and keep it a little simple though with the feature wall and duck egg on others if you want the room to last. I love the pink and green lights in your pic, maybe someing similar with pink and duck egg? . Maybe try some decals in the dressing table area or go for the star wallpaper?...See MoreWallpaper ideas
Comments (4)You can get away with quite a lot in terms of colour selection and pattern, if you keep to the black sofas and white/glass high gloss look, you might be spoilt for choice. If your furnishings are in the beige/stone/brown scheme, it does narrow your colour choices somewhat. The main thing to ask though is what will your floor and skirting boards be like? 8 years agoThanks all for your help and encouragement, so I took the plunge and went with the bird wallpaper, paired with grey on the walls, and I'm delighted with how it turned out :-)
The room is still very much a work in progress as you can see from the pictures, so I still need to get a dressing table, and a nice ceiling light that will reflect the silver in the wallpaper, so any suggestions about light fittings would be greatly appreciated :-)
I was thinking of putting a simple roman blind on the window in maybe a silvery/grey colour - any opinions/suggestions on the colour?

8 years agoSorry, yes, I didn't explain very well, did I... I meant that as your room seems to be quite light, floor included, a dark grey that matches the bird on your wallpaper would give you that wow factor (pic1 below). You could then work on the layering textures within the same colour palette too with the rest of your accessories (rugs, mirrors etc). Or if you're not too keen on greys, pick out one of the other colours if you prefer- you have a good selection of pink, blue, green or yellow. As long as you match the exact shade you can't go wrong, in my humble opinion. I've attached a few pics below to show you what I mean xx

8 years agoWe bought the wall paper too but struggling with the wall paint for the other walls. We bought laura Ashley silver but it seems to have a lilac tinge!!! Also looked at a silver must from homebase (not sure) or old rose from laura Ashley which is a pink.
The room has white furniture from ikea (the bedding can be changed). What are peoples thoughts - grey or pink for the other walls. Thanks for posting otherwise we wouldn't have seen the wall paper design!!
