The Reclaimed Flooring Company has been part of the Houzz community for over 1 year. Over this period of time, we have been really happy to see the great enthusiasm and interest in our products and projects.

From all our projects, we selected the top 8 pictures with most visualizations and clicks and now we ask to the Houzzers out there to choose your favorite picture and tell us what makes it so special. The best answer will win a shiny Kindle Fire 7!

The competition ends on the 31st January 2016 and we will contact the winner within the next couple weeks. To be eligible, all competitors must vote for their favorite picture and leave a message stating the reason of their choice. The London home renovation for me. The mixture of the books in tall bookcase (reminding one of a library), the music the piano produces, and the bright, exotic wallpaper and the birds all allow the user to be transported to different worlds. You could imagine this room belonging to a story teller, an explorer, or a renaissance man or woman.

Hi Andrea Brooks We can totally understand your dilemma - ‘Magnolia’ is certainly not for everyone! Different colours can evoke different moods and feelings, so don’t limit yourself to one colour throughout your whole house. Dark moody tones work brilliantly in bedrooms, and have been proven to help induce better sleep. Our favourite at the moment is Dulux’s Denim Drift. Bright, fresh colours are great for kitchens, and for creating a lively happy atmosphere. I love Dulux Coral Canyon which is really uplifting. Finally, dusted blues and greens have amazing calming qualities, and are fantastic for any rooms you want to relax and unwind in. Dulux Dusted Moss is a beautiful, versatile colour that will suit most styles of property, either traditional or modern. If you are cautious about using colour, why not introduce it slowly through your accessories, or as a feature wall, as these can be easily updated and replaced. When we extended our house last year with a large fireplace we wanted a multi fuel burning stove. However the regulations regarding flue and chimney meant the neighbours would have been subjected (and may have objected) to this eyesore, even if at the back of the house. We settled for a Gas version. The stove itself (Huntington) looks exactly the same as the multi fuel version. However, we are really delighted with it. The flame looks really genuine and as others have stated there is no cleaning out and we have instant heat and sometimes so much output that we no longer have to turn on the central heating in the lower rooms! A real success. (Awaiting our first gas bill however).

I love the makeover in Nottinghill, the beautiful green wallpaper is so exotic and the warm tone of the natural wood picks this up and tones with it so well, as does the warmth of the built in wooden structures. It is lovely to see a house with real personality, there were brave choices here, nothing bland and too co-ordinated or clinical looking, I wish more people would really push the boat out and go for an highly individual look in this way. It is the only way to end up with something YOU love rather than is totally safe!

That bathroom is absolutely amazing. I love the weight and warmth of the grey and the way the white breaks the colour up. It would be such a lovely place to wallow. Great job!!

I love the visual balance in the bathroom. The juxtaposition of traditional and modern elements give it an off-beat style, which is kept consistent in the simple colouring. It's beautiful.

I voted for the parquet flooring. We have a small hall with one that we have tried to renovate that is quite dark. I was impressed with the various colours they were able to show, quite beautiful especially the lighter coloured greyish overtones on one particular photo.
