By the way, Maria ... I bought the teacups at none other than at a Wilko store (UK)!! They often have some lovely accent items there. Also, at Amazon UK, I purchased a number of very realist flicker battery candles, to cast a gorgeous, romantic evening glow. My three oak furniture pieces were expensive, as was the sofa, but honestly, all the finishing touches are very affordable and were vital in creating the look I was after. I'm so glad you like it. The green wall, (with pink accents), is daring, but I find it very relaxing. As for the fireplace and fire, they were purchased separately. I tracked down the Georgian-style surround on eBay, and the 'electric' fire, from Dimplex. I hope all this is of some use. Jeanette

Dear Jen P, Casa Colori and all Thank You for your thoughts and encouragement ... I guess having renovated the whole flat (new electrics, boiler, plaster, 70's decor ripped out etc etc) its just that final signature on it. And the budget is running a lot lower now :@ Ive ordered the floor which is way over my initial budget but hey it's for life ! from Reclaimed Wood Flooring 'Castle Oak, sanded / unfinished' Which I hope will compliment the colours and add an earthy honest feel to the place and a through line between rooms. luckily am getting light from the kitchen windows (south facing) into the little living room, as well as a large window (West facing) in it. Though the light is blocked by the building directly opposite. so it can be quite dark at times. Hi Richard, My thoughts, (and I'm not an expert, so just a personal opinion), but I think the wetroom idea will be a total nightmare to keep clean. I would also be concerned that it not would be the safest option with young children in the house. Unless you are going to meticulously dry the floor down after every shower, anyone using the room afterwards, washing their hands at the sink for example would need to walk on a wet and possibly slippery floor. Also not ideal if you walk around the house in socks.... wet feet.. :-/ Even with really good drainage the floor would remain wet for some time after each shower. These concerns may only bother me though, these things are so subjective, but I always consider how much work will be involved in keeping a room clean and looking great....and the fact that the bath would get wet and no doubt splatted with shampoo and shower gel every time someone showered would have me in there constantly cleaning. This option is definitely also the more costly option as tanking would be required, and I you plan to sell in a year or so, I am not sure it would add value equivalent to your spend on the room. I would go for a nice shower over bath arrangement, this can still look lovely and high end. For example:

I really like the design but it will need to be reverse. where the sofa needs to be on the side of the tv and tv needs to be on the side of the sofa. there is a tv cabinet the landlord wants to keep in the apartment so the tv will be put on top of that. besides for that everything looks good. also I want to have coffee table that rises up to be a dining table. I am planning to use a green carpet to have more of a natural feel. if possible I want the other furnitures in the living room to be more natural. so I would say more of a wooden design for furnitures.
