How to fill space above the TV

Hi,

Our living area is L-shaped and open space, with the kitchen in the small part of the L, and the lounge/TV area and dining area in the other section. The TV area us in between the dining area and kitchen (weird layout I know but only one that works!).

The colour scheme is black & white (kitchen), grey (flooring & sofa) and red (touches everywhere). There is also wood (island unit & dining set). The room has very high celings.

We have a big TV on a very long TV unit, with a big gap above which we are thinking of filling up to make the room less clinical (although we like the minimalist look).

We have some paintings/pictures we could hang, example attached. Any advice on what we could do would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
