Hi, I'm renovating a house at the moment. I've had a new central heating system put in and the walls skimmed. I applied a base white coat then painted over and found several dark spots around the ground floor only up to 40cm from the floor. I applied a damp paint and a stain block and when that dried the dark spots seemed to disappear. However when I painted the final colour again the spots came back. Does anybody have any suggestions? The dark spots do not grow in size but they look as if someone has flicked paint onto the walls. I have a concrete floor, would a good underlay and laminate help retain more heat and help reduce how noticeable the spots are? Any help is much appreciated.
