Would this suit my north facing bedroom?

I was looking to use purbeck stone on some panelling behind my bed and use cornforth White on the other 3 walls. The room is large and has two windows but I wonder if you think this colour would be too cold? The testers do seem quite grey and flat. Any tips? Your scheme is lovely. Thanks in advance

Most grey tones suit urban / slightly darker environments light-wise. You could try a section to see how it looks before committing to the whole wall.

Hi, Grey may just add to the gloominess and look a tad cold for a bedroom. However If you are pushing towards a grey I'd look at some greige colours or warm greys such as skimming stone, Egyptian cotton, just walnut, etc and use warm bulbs to give a more warmer feeling to the room. The greife colours, albeit with a grey colour, appears slightly warmer with the combined beige tones and warmer greys, well it does what it says, shows up to be more inviting and welcoming. I would recommend using testers, preferably on different walls at various points during the day (or repeated coats on paper which can be moved around) when it's quite gloomy because thats the common weather and see what looks good. Alternatively, I'd look at a green colour as this appears to be warmer or consider painting a neutral and accessorise with warm rich colours such as reds or purples or oranges to add warmth to a cold room. Thanks Kathy, think we will go with Gentle Fawn. Tried Nutmeg White and Almond White but they looked a bit grey looking so hoping Gentle Fawn will be warmer looking. Too many choices! Am having a beige carpet, so just have to choose curtain colour now. The window wall will be pink so don’t know which colour to match or whether to introduce a third colour and try and match it with duvet cover. .I quite like a soft green colour but may be too cool in north facing room? Dulux and other colour charts have an LRV (Light Reflectance Value) number for each colour which is a percentage. Brilliant white would be about 98% you can download the charts to get an idea but remember that the colour you see on your monitor may not be the same as the real clour of the paint unless it is calibrated in the orrect colour space. The LRVs however, will help to give you some direction. Also consider mirrors to lighten the room as it going to have wardrobes in it.
