Mylands. You always regret your economies. I've repainted this kitchen 4X over the years, and last time was in Dulux which wore so poorly. Just custom mixed a new vibrant duck egg to paint my kitchen in marble matt walls, eggshell woodwork, and floor paint. Mylands matched impeccably. It was a dream of coverage, and looks spectacular. The quality of the pigment shows, looks the money, nothing like synthetic mediocre pigments in cheaper paint. It's a big improvement.

Apologies, it's wood. I should have mentioned that. I know I can probably get someone to make one bespoke, but with a whole house to renovate and restore I'm trying to keep costs down where possible

Hi, I don’t think it’s too small either! If you reposition your rug so it’s slightly under all the legs of the sofa (not just the chaise part) and put a coffee table on it you’ll probably find it has more focus and purpose. A larger rug would be good, but I think this will work if your budget doesn’t stretch.. also move your dining table further away from the walls so it isn’t tucked away in the corner. Other things like a nice throw over the arm of the sofa, low hung prints on the wall behind and plants will also help. Also, is that a bar trolley next to the dining table?? If so, get it stocked up so it’s more of a social area x

thanks all! The vanity was made to measure. Just a wooden floating frame which we covered in tiles. Couldn't find a vanity to fit as this was less than 300 deep and about 1100 wide. The tiles we got from a company in Preston called ROCCIA www.roccia.com - they also have a place in Bolton but not sure if they deliver outside of the area. The tile was called Pantheon Marble (antique) by Cerim. Not found any other suppliers. Comes from Italy in all size formats. I got the 300 x 600 and they did them for about £45psqm. Similar ones we found from Mandarin stone were almost identical but didn't have quite as many streaks in. In fact I bought a full sized sample and had to use some of it for the skirting behind the WC and you can't really tell the difference at that angle. They are on sale now so a similar price (they were almost £60 psqm when i looked to buy them!) https://www.mandarinstone.com/product/mimica-sepia-grey-matt/ they are mostly grey but in some lights at a certain time of day, they can have just the very very slightest brown tinge but it's barely noticeable either.
