In need of ideas /advice on feature wall in bedroom
Comments (10)Hi, As most people have already pointed out, a good design isn't just about one element like the wallpaper. It is about creating layers and balancing the elements correctly. I too think your gold could work perfectly well with the other walls, carpet and furniture, but you now need to layer accessories/soft furnishings and create a great balance that brings the scheme to life. One of the major problems with the space is the large 'gap' you have about the headboard. It may feel like it's the papers fault but you are just processing the gap as being uncomfortable.. Fill it with a mirror, art work or (I like the idea of) the fabric panel.. And this will make the room feel instantly more comfortable and inviting.. Add a few layers of cushions and you will have a great space. Keep us posted and best of luck, Gina...See MoreMaster bedroom wallpaper
Comments (10)Hi, Sounds like a really fun project, we really love experimenting with wallpaper at Amazing Space it will make a great feature of your space. Here are three favourites and some colour ideas to go with them, that will hopefully get your inspiration going. All of these options have that well Nice textural element to add depth to your space but in a really subtle way with the colours being very light and chalky. I really like the Scandi style for bedrooms as you can keep the space looking fresh and clean but with loads of cosy accessories to make it feel dead comfy. The best thing about these wallpaper options is that you can pretty much use any accent colour for your accessories. 1. Harlequin Tresilio Capas Wallpaper and Quartz Flint 3 http://www.awin1.com/pclick.php?p=3677271505&a=235703&m=1203 https://paint.duluxamazingspace.co.uk/colour/cool-neutrals/muted/kusa5o8H68/50BG76023 This option brings grey tones and a hint of blue so you could use that as your accent colour. Quartz Flint 3 is the colour I would recommend for your walls, this is a soft grey tone also with that hint of blue coming through to pick up the wallpaper. 2. Harlequin Drift Wallpaper, Storm / Linen / Stone and Dusted Moss 4 http://www.awin1.com/pclick.php?p=3060804499&a=235703&m=1203 https://paint.duluxamazingspace.co.uk/colour/whites-and-creams/muted/utIbKW6szh/50YY83037 This is one of my favourite Harlequin wallpaper, and I thought I’d include it as you said you liked Cole and Sons Wood Grain paper. This is a little more subtle but brings in a nice mix of neutral colour tones. Dusted Moss 4 goes really well with this paper as it picks out the neutral tones in the paper and is a nice warm tone for a bedroom to get that cosy relaxed atmosphere. Cole & Son Strand Wallpaper, White and Chalk Blush 4 This is another favourite of mine, from Cole and Sons so you might be familiar with it. This also comes in a darker grey colour, if you want a slightly bolder look but I personally like the softness of this choice. The suggested colour Chalk Blush 4 is a really warm off white tone which will give your space that really airy Scandi feel. http://www.awin1.com/pclick.php?p=3545517487&a=235703&m=1203 https://paint.duluxamazingspace.co.uk/colour/whites-and-creams/pure/kEWieQ7lcX/60YR33047 All the paint swatches are from the Dulux Amazing Space paint range, where you can get 3 free tester pots if you sign up with an email address: https://paint.duluxamazingspace.co.uk I hope you like the ideas! Comments (14)Yes i think it will look good. Add either colour or texture for warmth though . My son has very similar but the brick on 3 walls with a couple of street signs and a banksy mural on the 4th wall with a laminate "loft" style floor. I think it's quite a good look for a boys room and takes them into adult and beyond...See MoreDecorating Children's Bedroom
Comments (6)Hi, Did you know using a site like coolors.co you can generate a colour palette from the wallpaper you have chosen. I found the image that you shared above and created this. The numbers are colour HEX references. As you are using white and grey in most of the furniture and carpet I would use a go for a stronger pink on the remaining walls. If you opt for a very light pink it may look wishy washy but it does also depend on the bedding, accessories and lighting you opt for in the room. If you pump these full of colour then a lighter wall colour will just fade away. Pick out the gold in the wallpaper for some fun accessories.
