The Tile is available from VILLAGIO tile in Scottsdale VIDE7-Kona 11.75" X 11.75" with Maniscalco metal Tile and decos. This is also available from them.

Hi, I've now had quartz worktops fitted in a white with grey and mirror flecks (compact lactea) & attach photos. Cabinets are all done too. My next area is what to do for splashback behind the hob/under the extractor. I originally wanted to do red glass across the length of the wall, but we have had under unit lights fitted below the higher cabinets and at night I can change these to any colour I want. If I do red all across I won't get the effect of the lights. Not even sure red would go? The wooden chairs are going and will be replaced & I still need to choose my island lights (thinking 3 pendants hanging). Husband thinks stainless steel sheet behind hob. I'm not sure this will look right with dark glass hob under it & wonder if it is hard to look clean all the time. What ideas do you all have as you helped with the worktops. I also show the dining table and the new open lounge area (intend to put a rug down). We also still need to find wall lights.

Hi Paula, A light coloured metro tile or similar would really finish your kitchen off and is a great way to add a subtle hint of colour. Duck egg blue or mint, like others have mentioned, would work really well here. Or alternatively, if you're worried about getting tired of the colour, cream is always a classic and you can then add colour in using accessories and change this up as you wish. Colourhappy sinking the fridge in the wall is my plan, just not right away. I don't even have to steal space, it'll fit into the 'triangle' but I would need to take the kitchen door away and move the utility door. I'll make do by adding an end panel to the right of it to blend it away when seen from in the dining room. Right now it has to stay where it is. As for tiles, I'm somewhat stuck because the worktop has a marbled vein though it. It's white but not brilliant white and next to white wall tiles, it'll look vanilla. The veining through it is grey with a tiny touch of copper/burnt orange through it. Hence why it's called Calacatta gold. I live metro tiles but it's to right here. There is herringbone on the floor so though I do live patterned tiles, again it needs to be simple. Right now I'm considering a glass slab. Any thoughts on that?

Hi Cake lady thanks for your comment. I have considered the wood effect tiles. However the kitchen adjoins a hall which has an oak laminate floor. I'm concerned the two different types of wood will clash. what do you think? Good to know they're low maintenance. I'm steering well away from gloss tiles as spent years trying to keep black gloss tiles clean in our bathroom. Finally replaced last year !
