Painting on new plaster

We are about to paint our new loft conversion and are a bit confused about whether to use undercoat or primer or both on newly plastered walls. Anyone got any advice? We have bought the paint in attached picture but not sure if this is right thing

yeah this paint is ideal but water down first coat then apply second coat of paint.

Hi I think you use emulsion watered down on the walls X

Wow that looks amazing and such an improvement. I bet you’re really pleased with it. We’ve all been following your progress and it sure looks good. The floor looks great too. Now I would say yes, paint that long wall in De Nimes too, it goes so well with your leather sofa. You can then add art, shelving or both. Well done.

I would still give it a sanding and a mist coat. Won't take much time but will save you a lot of headache that you might otherwise get if you paint straight on to it and it starts peeling.

Hi @Amy Dallas It’s Great news you’ve decided to paint your new home. Check out our Instagram for De Nimes with white surrounding. You will find a nicely lit feature wall there. Theres been a trend for this colour in dining arrea, for sure. Skimming Stone is a lovely colour, however Wevet could do the job. Great White could be another option. We hope you find it useful. Hi HU-65408373, Very well done! There's always the first time...:) Lets hope you've used Contract Matt finish or 50/50 with water any Matt emulsion paint. Leave it to dry. It may take little longer and two baddies could happen. Stain patches may occur as outcome of drying or while rolling 2nd and even third coat you may pick up previous coats with roller. But it's the stain patch you should expect. Apply next coat when dry, then apply stain block and touch up with Matt emulsion before final coat. Hope this helps!
