Hi Celia, the fire bowl is available in three sizes. 600mm, 850mm and 1090mm. They can operate on bioethanol, mains gas or bottled gas. The internal stone comes in lava rock (as shown), ceramic logs or pebbles. I hope this helps. If you have anymore questions please get in touch.

I helped my Dad build a fire pit in his garden, he made wooden seats to sit around the metal fire pit with old stone columns for extra seating (unfortunately you can't see the actual fire-pit as behind the stone bench). Lots of stories and fun are had around it until deep into the night. If you have the space it is a great addition to put in! Shannon

So funny! I'm planning to paint the bannister at the new house (TNH) black and am veering towards painting the treads and risers black too... I've been searching for images of black staircases on Houzz and putting them in my entrance hall ideabook. They are few and far between. In your case, I think, with your white walls, maybe the stairs white and the bannister black? (Assuming the white walls continue up the stair walls enabling the b/w contrast.) You've already put black firmly into the equation, adding some more may give more reason for the black rad cab. In my case, there is a very off-centre radiator that could so very easily have been directly opposite the front door in TNH which is rather annoying as it stuffs up the focal point. We are leaving here with every radiator covered with a cabinet - and going to TNH that has loads of radiators ...but no cabinets! Yes, the work ahead is daunting - especially since the area of Ireland we're going to is very basic and not full of DIY resources, etc. I keep thinking I'll paint TNH white - to make things simpler(!) But try as I may colour keeps wandering through my mind! Lovely to be in touch again!

Hi. If you paint the end ŵalls either a darker or warmer shade it will go some way to correcting the proportions of the room (Or if you like stripes you could add a striped rug or wallpaper). I must admit I would probably keep the chimney breast whether you change the fire or not, they add character and you can add consoles, cabinets, chairs etc which tend to look better in alcoves than flat ŵalls. I would also use a textured wallpaper in the long ŵall colour to add interest. I think the issue is the lack of furniture in the middle of the room which would make it feel wider. Could you add a coffee table? Is the sofa to scale in the 1st pic? I would pull it away from the ŵall even if it just inches (will help with radiator too, is that the only one you have in the room as it doesn't seem big enough?). I had a look in your Ideabook and it looks as if you want a windowseat? If so, i'd move the sofa so it's opposite the fire and put the armchair at the opposite end of the room and use a rug to define that seating area with the front feet of the seating on the rug. If you want the tv over the fire I'd put it on a tilting, swinging arm.

Hi Susi, Unfortunately, you need to keep the door. It is the case of having the hall and staircase secure from fire from any of the adjoining rooms. The door should be an F20 door. In the most cases, you can find the badge on the small strips towards the hinges. You can change the opening position if you'd like. I'd recommend you to change the hinge position an to the other side and open the door into the hall. So you can leave it open and it is not going to be in you way. I hope that helps.
