Help please... Colour choices (not just white and grey!)
Comments (6)I really like the dark blue actually. I think it gives character. I have used different tones of blue for my downstairs including a similar dark blue. Maybe the colour we used in our dining room( f & b) light blue would work instead of your wallpaper? This would still work with your kitchen blue I think. Sorry photos not brilliant as there is not enough light....See MoreHi, need some help with colour choice please for furnishings etc
Comments (6)I would suggest leaving the green scheme in situ at the moment as it think i see green flecks in your material swatch. Going blue in wall, curtains, and furniture, althought it seems coordinated, might end up being too matchy matchy in real life. The green flecks may actually be better co-ordinated than it initally appears and the furniture may actually bring the room together....See MoreTimber window and guttering upgrade - colour choice?
Comments (0)I'm repairing and refurbishing the timber windows and gutters on my home. The paintwork needs updated and I'm thinking of black or grey. The photos don't show it too well but everything is currently brown/rosewood. I'd rather choose something classic rather than too 'fashionable'. My current preference is for dark grey or black. Any thoughts? Also, are there any easy to use tools to help me visualise potential changes? Many Thanks....See Morehelp with kitchen colour choices
Comments (23)I think your kitchen looks timeless, but the idea of dark handles to match the chair legs would pull it together and the Roman blind idea is also better. The cabinets could be painted, but it’s important to have an excellent job done, otherwise it could easily be a bad decision. I’d want to have my bin in a cupboard too. The idea of a bigger glass door would be great, if you aren’t going to extend in the future, otherwise not worth the expense. It might be good to have a cheerful cloth on the table, that echoes the Roman blind and possibly a rug under it, which would zone the area, but it seems a “busy” view into the hall, would it be possible to have milky glass doors to keep the two areas out of view from each other, without loosing light? The paint colours on the walls could be changed to zone the dining area from the working area too and more pictures/hanging plates always cheer up bare walls, but that’s just my views, whatever you do, it’s your home, nota show house and you’ve got to live in it, so whatever you choose, will be right for you....See Moreemilysmith2
