Seems they were sold by American company Pottery Barn. If you've got the time and the inclination (and budgets are tight) I reckon it's worth giving the paint a go to see how it looks. Lots of the kitchens we're doing for clients now are ones with painted finishes and although (as mentioned above) this isn't the most classic style/a bit old fashioned it will look completely different painted. New handles... save up for the kitchen you really want!

Painting is a very affordable option, we have painted many kitchens and it really does transform the room. Pure and Original Classico is very robust and gives a chalky finish which can be waxed if desired.No need to prime saving time. The Pooky website had loads of lovely lights. Wow! I also received some suggestions on another thread. I trawled through lots of websites today! I combined some ideas into a collage. Any thoughts? The dark pewter pendant is what I'm trying to co-ordinate with (I love the matt grey finish and its shape), whilst not losing the light airy feeling of the new living area with it's pitched roof, and large windows/doors. Hence why I thought about a glass pendant. But using glass pendants was just an idea. I'm open to other ideas. I also wondered if I should look at some "Hamptons style lights"? I like a timeless, calm, look.
