Hi there are the doors an acrylic finish and what is the counter top please? Thanks

Hi

The kitchen is from a company in the UK called Design Space London - laminate doors. The counter top is composite stone - from a company called Caesar Stone.

Hello Josh, All that sounds very nice! I am not sure what you mean about staining though... It is true though you do have to be careful with lemons and salt, things that can eat away at the surface.. I would not rule out marble as it's wonderful and gr8 for cooking. Grew up with white marble worktop.. Making bread and pastry is very easy on the surface.. I have bamboo and that is really quite high maintenance and I wouldn't make dough or anything on that.. but if you are set against it.. You could have a fantastic polished concrete worktop or granite.. Very dark matt cupboards... Think Plain English or deVOL. : ))

Generally it has to be Quartz, though we do love others, as sometimes they can give the right feel for the design you want. Different metals can look amazing and Quartz can't replicate these. We are just starting a project that has mainly Quartz but one side of the island will be copper . . . Can't wait to see the finished look

Hi, I would definitely consider repainting the doors (especially if it works out cheaper) and would consider a dark grey with blue undertone to co-ordinate with your tiles whilst cutting between the wood / wood sort colours and shades. I would also change the door handles if you then would like to go for a wood worktop, I don't think It would look over the top. Alternativly, if you feel that you dont want a high maintenance worktop, I would look at the wood effect laminate worktops, they do vary in quality depending on where you buy but many nowadays are made to be tough and durable and require no additional maintenance except the usual cleans to maintain hygiene. Thank you all for your comments. The quartz was fitted by Marble Building Products who work all over the country. www.mbpltd.co.uk Quartz is pretty hardwearing and stain resistant but as I tell all customers, care and common sense needs to be taken with all worktops. Personally I wouldn't put hot pans or chop on any worktop. Quartz is easy to clean and stain resistant but I would avoid strong substances such as neat bleach.
