Advice needed: stairs - is carpet on stairs the only option?
Comments (1)Ditto! Lol. Carpet is much quieter and safer (I've slid down my previous 'all wooden' steps before now!) but I hate it too. If you have good treads, I'd go for a stylish runner which looks nicer. Get a busy pattern ie stripes or funky geometries to keep the dirt less obvious....See MoreUFH and flooring dilema at top of stairs / third floor!
Comments (11)Hi Claire, what is the floor construction on the floor is it joists? there are different options and I have many years experience of dealing with these types of projects. If you are not sure then take up a section and check whats underneath the floorboards. I haven't checked on the plan yet with regard to sqm of area, however I would be wary of electric underfloor heating as the running costs are extremely high unless you have solar panels. If you want to have a chat or email over your plans to Karen@cklbuildgroup.co.uk 07808212971 My team can supply and install and you will receive a workmanship warranty for the works as well....See Morecarpet advice for stairs urgently needed!
Comments (7)Hi Ro, we love the look you have gone for! It will work especially well if your hallway and staircase is an open and airy space with the striped carpet taking centre stage. Team it with light accessories such as curtains or wall accessories for a timeless feel....See MoreHall/landing and stairs advice
