Please help! What cushions should I put on my sofa?
Comments (15)Thank you so much everyone! I love these suggestions! I have a grey cushion from another room and have tried it on the sofa.... it looks gorgeous so will definitely be using grey as one colour, I will choose another colour or two to go with it! Or would 3 colours be too many? I Love the table lamp in your room Nitin, so I've decided to change my floor lamp to a table lamp : ))...See MoreLove this white light.. Comments (13)Alena.. I am so agree with you. Thank you so much.. Headers and Minnie, i am so grateful to tell me bout your both oponion. Thank you. But if you noticed my dry kitchen and table bar countertop is all black.. What I think here, I can't used a same pendant design or black color anymore on my dining table because I need to make it contrast so my friends and guest will only keep staring on that position which is my dining table pendant.. I'm not sure whether I'm right or wrong I am not a Profesional Interior Designer, I'm Profesional Make Up Artist so thats why I need to find a Pro to help me out in my interior.. Maybe I need to go with Alena.. Thank you again. Really much appreciate it. Below is my dry kitchen photo again.. U can see from the countertop to 3 pendants is all black color.. More comment is needed and please comment it.. Thank you...See Morehow to centre a light fixture/s above an extending dining table
Comments (5)Hi Angel This a a common questions and it always comes down to what minor things you can sacrifice to get the best of all worlds. Do I have a pendant to create a dining zone? Do I try and retain the view outside? Do I make the space versatile for parties? In my opinion a light over the table looks great if you do not have one already over the kitchen island (if you have one). Keep the light above head level (of most of your usual guests) so that you can talk to each other . It may be worth cutting out cardboard and offering it above the table to see what works for you. The light doesnt have to be too imposing it could be something light the light below. or maybe something that is a feature but still see through like the below There are not many rise and fall lights out there that can really reduce that much to be out of the way on a standard height ceiling but if you have tall ceilings then it could work. I hope this helps, and good luck with your project....See MoreWould I be mad to get rid of my dining table?
Comments (26)Well we’ve had a shift around this morning and completely swopped the dining table and sofa - Minnie101 thank you, my husband loved that idea. So the table and chairs are in the sitting room within the bay window, and the sofa is in the kitchen, overlooking the garden. Here’s some pics. It really works well and I know we will now be using that table more as we love to watch tv whilst eating! I’m not sure the traditional Parker Knoll sofa quite goes, but it’s sooo comfy so it will have to do. The cushions are temporary, as I may get some navy’ish ones instead, but if anyone has seen some nice cushions let me know! As always this Houzz community has been amazingly helpful, and it’s great to get different perspectives. Thank you all very much....See MoreEric Tonny
