need help with bungalow exterior and floor plan cannot change foot print or height
Comments (5)nice house. where is it? i would start with a floor plan (measure the exterior and interior space and include window locations and heights) and then draw it up. then i would add a roof plan (draw the ridges, valleys and eaves on a piece of paper over the floor plan). then you want to get up into the attic space (if any) and find out if the roof rafters are bearing on any of the interior walls. this will let you know which walls are structural and which are simply partition walls (no structure on top of them). a floor plan will help others advise you about flow. if you want to knock down a bearing wall you will have to put in a column support or a structural header. 150 sq. m would be 1350 s.f. for U.S. posters. maybe there is an architecture student in your area that can help get it organized? it would be a good project for them......See MoreNeed help with kerb appeal of exterior
Comments (20)Hi missmjbs, I've added a couple of photos, I need a second coat (too windy today - I don't want grit and bugs stuck in my paint!) I'm still a little uncertain about the green and was wondering myself about a cream or a more grey green... however I think you'll agree it looks quite a lot different! I don't think my partner will allow painting of the garage doors - I'm still working on that......See Moreneed help picking exterior paint colours
Comments (2)Hi Kusho1, I'd advise an Off-White as these are easier for upkeep compared to a Brilliant White exterior. Along with a Slate Grey for your exterior wood work, as this will work with the White window frames. Comments (7)This was in 2011, when we just started renovating. Top windows are new (ral7039), walls ral9010. You see the neighbour on the right has bright white, the attached on the left some creamy tan. (Landscaping credits go to previous owner..) Don't have many new photo's, but this was a few months ago, when we had the front door and livingroom window done too (pvc): Lower edge on the wall still needs some paint.. And landscaping hasn't been done yet either, but we did take out the dug in roof tiles.. (plus we're slow renovators LOL no stress)...See MoreRamazan Ilhan
